What are Perennial Flowers?
A perennial flower or plant is one that lives for more than two years. This term is usually applied to herbaceous plants or small shrubs, and not large shrubs or trees. A perennial flower will typically grow and bloom during the warmer part of the year and die back or hibernate during the cold. Examples of perennials include Hostas, Black-Eyed Susans, Shasta Daisies and Clematis.
